A piece of equipment which has changed a life is the “Lift and Recline” chair.
As Mr B grew older, he began to spend a lot more time sitting in the comfort of his favourite armchair in his lounge room.
Unfortunately, as his Alzheimer’s Disease progressed it became harder and harder for Mrs B to assist him up and out of that chair.
With Mr B’s Home Care Package and the assistance from the friendly team at Unicare, Rise Network were able to purchase him a Lift and Recline chair, which means he can still sit in the comfort of his familiar lounge room in his new favourite arm chair, yet Mrs B can safely support him in and out of the chair with ease.
Mr B and his wife feel that the chair has made a real change for them, and it is a great comfort to the family knowing that Mrs B will not be at risk of injuring herself while helping their father. She is able to use the handheld remote to slowly raise Mr B to a nearly standing position, and from there she can gently assist him to his walking frame.
