Recently our Occupational Therapist, Annette had the amazing opportunity to spend 2 weeks visiting three of our European suppliers.
The first 6 days were spent in Germany with the Export manager, Christopher Loy for Wissner-Bosserhoff Beds. This time was spent visiting Residential Aged Care facilities in and around Wickede and undergoing intensive training on these technologically advanced, homelike beds specifically designed for the aged care market. Wissner Bosserhoff offer a range of beds and accessories that promote safety and comfort whilst promoting independence for the client and facilitating safe work practices for care staff.
The next stop was the South of France where Winncare was the destination. This company supplies Unicare Health with a range of pressure relieving devices, beds, shower trolleys and a number of other items including the Alova cushion which is a closed cell cushion used for treatment and prevention of pressure injuries up to and including stage 2.
The final destination was Sweden, where the exceptional range of pressure care mattresses are sourced from “Care of Sweden”. Here the focus was on product training and pressure care education, both within the company itself and Annette also had the opportunity to engage with consumers of these products within the Swedish Healthcare industry.
The opportunity to visit suppliers of Unicare Health products provides in depth product knowledge as well as the chance to develop relationships with those who are responsible for product research and development, which in turn leads to the Australian market having their specific needs addressed when it comes to design, features and functionality.
