Unicare Health had a very successful time at the inaugural Care and Aging Expo over the weekend. Braving gusty winds and heavy downpours, hundreds of people turned up at the expo, eager to navigate the pathway to aged care.
The Care and Ageing Expo was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 29th and 30th of July 2017. Organized by Leading Age Services Australia (LASA), the first ever Care and Aging expo in Western Australia was a showcase of aged care appropriate products, services, information and education allowing patrons to compare the market and make informed choices around the many aged care available options.
Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) is the national peak body representing providers of age services across residential care, home care and retirement living. LASA is the single unified voice for aged care service providers, and the respected, first point of call for governments, media and industry on aged care issues.
Unicare Health had an awesome time at the expo, showcasing products for the aged care market, such as mobility scooters, nursing beds, seat walkers, wheelchairs, care chairs and assistive technology products for the home, to many eager expo patrons.
We were honoured to have Jason Gwatkin and Stephen Quayle from Shoprider Australia join us at our Unicare Booth, showcasing and demonstrating new to market mobility power scooters. Expo patrons interested in buying a mobility scooter had a great time jumping on and testing the mobility scooters, asking all the questions they needed about these little beauties. The Rainrider was a sure attention grabber, and the new to market Icon mobility scooters generated more enquiries and interest than we had anticipated!
Hundreds of people stopped by the Unicare Health booth, asking questions about assistive products and equipment available for aged care. Unicare Health thanked all interested customers with a bright pink show bag filled with product catalogues and freebies such as shortbread cookies and Unicare stationery. It was so exciting to see waves of Unicare show bags move around the show!
The Care and Aging expo was a great success and Unicare Health has been proud to have participated in this expo alongside our friends and aged care support partners in the industry such as Amana Living, Bethanie, KinCare, Aegis, Silver Chain, Catholic Homes, St. Ives and more.
Unicare Health would like to thank Leading Aged Services Australia, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and everyone else who had played a part, for all their hard work and fantastic organizational effort.
