What an enjoyable day it was, getting to know seniors at the Peel LiveLighter Seniors Activity Information Day. This event was a resounding success and well attended by seniors living in Mandurah, Pinjarra, Dwellingup and surrounds.
Organized by the Seniors Recreation Council of WA, the purpose of LiveLighter Activity Days is to encourage seniors to remain active and connected in their community.
The Peel LiveLighter Seniors Activity Information Day was attended by seniors of varying abilities eager to learn more about living actively in their community. Some seniors rolled in confidently with their shiny seat walkers and others waltzed in dressed for a day of singing and dancing.
This event provided a great opportunity for activity groups and agencies to promote their recreational and professional services to senior residents living in Mandurah and surrounds.
Seniors had a chance to take part in games like Exergaming, Skittles, Bean Bag Toss, Pole Walking, Giant Darts, Totem Tennis Game of Bob, Bocce and more.
Social groups and businesses provided a variety of information for seniors looking to improve their health and wellness in the community.
Dressed in bright pink, Unicare Health’s equipment information booth drew attention at the show, showcasing a range of assistive technology aids to promote safe and independent living.
Llew, Christina and Pearl from Unicare Health had a great time connecting with seniors eager to learn more about equipment solutions for Independent Living at home and in the community.
Seniors who stopped by the Unicare Health booth were amazed by innovative kitchen gadgets designed for easy food preparation and handling, as well as other home care products to make life easier & safer for people living with aging conditions such as arthritis, dementia and continence.
Unicare Health would like to thank Seniors Recreation Council WA for including us at the show. We had an awesome time introducing different assistive daily living products to promote safe and independent living at home for seniors.
