Yesterday was a great day for Seniors Recreation Council and The Burswood Park Board as it marked the 25th year of Have a Go Day – a LiveLighter Event held yearly in the picturesque grounds of Burswood Park.
A perfect sun shiny day it was, with blue skies and fluffy white clouds setting the canopy and the new Burswood Stadium framing the backdrop at the show! Have A Go Day is one of the largest, oldest and most participated seniors’ community event in Perth.
Yesterday saw thousands of enthusiastic seniors taking part in a range of activities like kayaking, lawn bowling, rock climbing, retro dancing and a whole lot more.
Unicare Health had a rewarding experience participating at Have A Go Day for the very first time, introducing mobility and everyday assistive aids to hundreds of seniors who were interested in learning more about products to support their aging at home and in the community.
A significant amount of positive feedback was received and lots of seniors were amazed by the number of intelligent assistive gadgets they didn’t know existed.
Annette, Olivia and Pearl enjoyed a happy day out in the spring time sun representing Unicare Health at Have A Go Day, making new connections and saying hi to existing customers who stopped by after spotting our bright pink Unicare flags flying high.
Have A Go Day was a great opportunity for seniors to form natural connections with Unicare Health, giving us a chance to listen to their aging problems as well as recommending practical solutions to suit their aged care needs.
Unicare Health would like to say congratulations to the organizers of Have A Go Day for putting up another successful show, and thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers who went the extra mile to perfect all the finishing touches at Have A Go Day 2017.
