Showroom

Community Aged Care

A state-of-the art retail showroom to support community aged care is underway with plans to allow continued expansion of product ranges and widen popular categories such as mobility and home care products.

To encourage independent living and safety at home, information sessions will be held for seniors eager to learn about assistive technology available to assist them at home and in the community. Seniors will be taught how to make intelligent decisions around equipment designed to make life easier & safer for people living with aging conditions such as arthritis, dementia and continence.

Increasing choice in aged care reforms allows senior Australians to stay in their own homes for longer through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and Home Care Packages. These initiatives give senior Australians greater choice over the types of equipment they are able to purchase to live at home safely and independently.

To support these government initiatives and to support aged care service providers facilitating these packages, Unicare Health’s new showroom will feature non-restrictive spaces for therapists and allied health professionals to trial equipment with clients and to purchase through their aged care packages.

Designed to build partnerships and encourage industry collaboration, community therapists who work tirelessly in partnership with Unicare Health everyday – accessing, prescribing and improving equipment to best enhance quality of life, will be able to enjoy complimentary hot desking facilities between meetings, access to cafe beverages and relaxation zones for social interaction.

Hospitals and Residential Aged Care

“A new visual showroom environment for hospital and aged care products will be created to maximize growth, opportunity, educate and inform. ”

Following global market trends in next generation healthcare, Unicare Health’s new showroom will feature innovative hospital and aged care equipment from leading global manufacturers such as Linet, Novak, Wissner Bosserhoff, Care of Sweden, Sunrise Medical, Permobil and quality Australian manufacturers such as Allegro, Regency and JUVOcare.

Having a larger display floor space will enable Unicare Health to better assist hospitals and aged care providers with equipment selection based on clinical needs. It will also enable staff to better support customers with rehabilitation solutions after hospital discharge.

Learning Hub

“The establishment of a new learning hub is the direct result of increasing demand for training by our highly engaged customer base of therapists and healthcare professionals.”

Technology innovates constantly in sync with global healthcare trends. While the application of new technologies to equipment simplifies certain aspects of healthcare, understanding how to use them effectively maximizes the advantages for both patient and care giver.

New technologies built into equipment such as hospital and aged care beds, require competent health professionals who are continuously expanding their breadth of knowledge and expertise.

An industry learning hub will enable Unicare Health’s training team to empower health professionals with the skills necessary to prescribe equipment in sync with trends and clinical considerations to deliver next generation healthcare.

Warehouse and Operations

“A new integrated warehouse and improved operational systems will allow us to handle increasing demand for equipment, continue to expand product ranges and provide a seamless end-to-end customer experience across the state.”

Two large warehouses, large stock levels of over 7000 products and an efficient logistics and dispatch system currently enables Unicare Health to respond to public and private healthcare equipment needs around Western Australia through tender agreements.

However, increasing equipment demand from WA public health over the past few years and growing partnerships with major aged care providers in WA has seen the need for a larger integrated warehouse to cope with the fulfillment of health care demands through increased automation and optimization of warehouse processes.

Located amongst main arterial routes including Leach Highway and Albany Highway, Unicare Health’s new fulfillment network will be expanded to meet customer demand, increase product selection and to support more distributors.
