A big thank you to Jason from Shoprider Australia for visiting Unicare Health on the morning of 4 July 2017, introducing to us three shiny new 4-wheel power scooters – The Shoprider FREEDOM, The IKON Suburban and The IKON Cruiser.
Unicare Health staff had a chance to test these scooters out on different terrains and at different speeds, challenging these little beauties with tight turns and testing their safety braking mechanisms.

The Shoprider FREEDOM is a medium sized scooter packed with user friendly features to ensure easy everyday use. The Freedom scooter features include a high back captain seat, adjustable height armrests, LED power gauge, T-bar handle, multi-position tiller and a powerful 1.0hp motor tiller. The FREEDOM scooter by Shoprider has a tight turning circle and ample performance to make any journey a pleasure. Safety and reliability is enhanced with rear wheel drive stability and electromagnetic brakes.
The IKON mobility scooters are new to market and introduces a new level of style and comfort. The IKON Cruiser mobility scooter features a large captain seat that is rotating and reclining, lift up and adjustable height armrests, gas adjustable tiller, 225mm mag rims, front and rear bumper bars and a tiller mounted charger port. For petite riders, the IKON Suburban is an ideal mobility scooter, sharing similar features to the IKON Cruiser but narrower in width, shorter in length and weighing 38kg lighter.
